This year, the UI Racing Team took on the challenge of Formula Student Czech Republic 2024, an event that brought student teams from around the world together to test their engineering skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. While the event presented significant challenges, including a rigorous technical inspection phase, our team gained invaluable experience that will fuel our future in student motorsports.
Formula Student Czech Republic is known for its strict standards in safety, technical requirements, and overall vehicle performance. As part of the competition, teams need to pass scrutineering to proceed to dynamic events, which test the car’s speed, stability, and endurance. Despite not advancing to dynamic events like acceleration and endurance this year, the UI Racing Team’s efforts in areas such as design and project planning marked a meaningful step forward. Each experience at the competition builds on our technical skills and understanding, making us better prepared for future events.
Our progress wouldn’t be possible without the support of our partners, including IGUS, whose contributions helped us push our design forward. IGUS’s support, particularly their advanced bearing products, played a crucial role in improving our vehicle’s performance during the competition. With their help, we successfully passed technical scrutineering—a key milestone in our journey. The opportunity to integrate IGUS’s innovative components into our car allowed us to explore new materials and approaches, reinforcing our commitment to developing a high-performance vehicle. This collaboration has encouraged us to focus on continuous improvement, from initial design discussions to refining each component in line with Formula Student standards.
Looking back, Formula Student Czech Republic 2024 has underscored the importance of perseverance and adaptation. We’re proud of the lessons we’ve learned, and we’re eager to use them in our next chapter.
